Life’s Big Questions

As we go though life, some of the questions we ask change. As events unfold and we enter new seasons in our lives, the questions that we thought were big no longer are. For me, those questions are no longer ones like “Why me?” or “Why do bad things happen to good people?”

Instead, my biggest question is simply this… “When I die and I’m standing at the pearly gates, am I going to regret this?” That’s it. One question.

Whether it’s a vote on a ballot. A response to hate mail. How I react to things at home. Whatever it is. That’s the only question. I fail too. A LOT! I often find that I would be extremely embarrassed to hear whatever it is read back to me.

Life sucks at times. Having a relationship with God can absolutely make it easier to get through those times. It also is one of the most frustrating of things sometimes too. It’s not easy. It is the best and most important decision you can make, but it’s not as easy as you’d think.
