Probably my most recent one is working out. Whether that means going for a walk, a bike ride, going to the gym, or just doing some things at home; I have made every effort to find a way to build up my stamina and keep in shape. At my lowest point during chemo, I was 135 pounds and could barely get out of bed. And I’m not 5′ tall… I am 6’3″ and started this journey at about 180 pounds!
Stop worrying! One thing I have learned is that something can always go wrong but ususally it doesn’t. There are so many things that I cannot control so stopping worrying about those things (at least not as much) has really taken a lot of stress out of my life.
Get enough sleep. This one is probably the hardest for me but I do everything I can to maintain it. Taking some melatonin before bed helps to overcome the phantom pains to make it easier to fall asleep.
